Halifax Maternal Wellness Program
Halifax Maternal Wellness Program
The Halifax Maternal Wellness Program is a new Halifax-wide initiative that supports mothers, birthing people and families during pregnancy, the postpartum and early parenthood. It’s completely free to participants and offers:
-
Information resources for new parents, partners and caregivers
Family and Perinatal Counselling
We offer free and accessible counselling sessions and mental health assessments for parents and families who are experiencing barriers to private therapy such as transportation, language, childcare, or no private insurance. Counselling is provided by a Registered Counselling Therapist (Candidate) with appointments available in multiple languages in person (6 Titus Street, Halifax) or via telehealth (phone or video call).
